We are dedicated to bringing the best Pilates
training and instructors to Houston. All of our Pilates Instructors
are trained through Stott. With an emphasis on breath, core
conditioning and body awareness, Pilates is a safe and highly
effective way to stretch, strengthen and streamline your body
without bulking up or stressing your joints. Performed on a
mat or specialized equipment, Pilates is a fitness regime for
a lifetime and a perfect compliment to cardiovascular exercise,
sport, or rehabilitation.
Whether you're recovering from injury or already in great shape,
Pilates is a stress relieving way to achieve and maintain optimal
fitness and well-being. Exercises are modified to suit your
needs and abilities. So, regardless of your age, gender or fitness
level, Pilates will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized
and moving with ease. |
 |
• Increased muscle strength/tone
• Longer/leaner muscles • Improved
balance, coordination and joint mobility • Increased
bone density throughout body, especially the spine • Flatter
mid-section • Improved posture |
 |
| Four private sessions to learn the fundamentals
of Pilates and some beginner exercises on mat and equipment.
Each session is 45 minutes in duration and the cost is $200.00 |
 |
These classes are available the third Saturday
of every month. Once you have participated in an introductory
class you can be placed in a Reformer class with others of comparable
skill level.
All reformer classes are $25.00 each. Classes must be paid for
in advance by the 25th of the month prior to class. |
 |
| Mat pilates is the most difficult form of Pilates.
We recommend you take an Introduction Package before attending
any Pilates classes. Mat based classes include: Basic Principles,
Essential, Intermediate, Ball and Band, Power and Osteopilates.
These classes are all offered free to members. See Carrie Gimmestad about any Group Mat classes for yoga or pilates. |
 |
| Enhance your Pilates experience by adding specialized
equipment to your mat class, which will increase the intensity
of your workout and add new dimensions to your routine. In this
class we use arc barrels, foam rollers, fitness circles, bands,
and balls. |
|
| Increase the challenge to your core strength and
stability with added resistance and flowing movement. Our Reformer
classes have a maximum of five individuals, so the instructor
is able to give attention to proper form and technique. See
Sue Donahoe for questions concerning reformer classes. >>class schedule |
