| Description: |
| Fitness Instructor is an hourly paid position with scheduled
hours. The Fitness Instructor is responsible for the safety and hospitality
in our free weight training, cardiovascular machine and selectorized
strength training machine room areas. Safety includes keeping accessory
equipment picked up, reporting problems with exercise machines to the
fitness director, assisting members with proper usage of any machine
and responding to first aid type emergencies. Hospitality includes greeting
all members, assisting them with operational guidance on strength /
cardiovascular machine usage and answering questions concerning our
facility programs and fitness related questions as well. Fitness Instructors
will provide complimentary first, second, and third weight room orientation
appointments to our new and existing members. It is also expected you
will assist with keeping our facility clean and organized. A daily cleaning
schedule is located at the fitness desk. |

| Skill Requirements: |
| Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and exercise
science are all perquisites for the fitness instructor position. Once
on hired you be taught and expected know how to operate as well as effectively
teach how to use all cardiovascular and strength training machines.
The ability to safely and effectively design exercise routines is also
required. All fitness instructors must obtain and keep current a nationally
recognized personal training certification. If the fitness instructor
does not have a personal training certification, the fitness instructor
will have up to 6 months from the first working day to obtain a personal
training certification. Annual C.P.R., 3-year first aid, and an annual
A.E.D. certification are all required safety certifications for the
fitness instructor position. Our facility houses a safety supervisor
who provides certifications for all 3 of these safety certifications.
